Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe une legende !!!
Back when I was in high school we did this game where we gave a description of a famous person and I said greatest guitar player who ever lived. The name most people gave I had to ask who it was.... turns out the guitarist for greenday.... Fail.... only me and my friend knew who Hendrix even was, I swear to god as my witness I almost cried that day.
In the 60's and 70's the youth was rebellious. Our generation however, are mostly just spoiled brats. Most teenagers have lost interest in politics, and doesn't really have much to rebel against. So then, we just end up as a bunch of assholes, who want to separate from our parents, but in order to do that have to start snorting cocain and drinking Smirnoff aged twelve. It's all about image and money. And until lady gaga or justin bieber make something original, I'll rest my case.
I feel like I was born about 35-40 years too late (1993). I should have grown up on Neil Young, the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Elton John, Eric Clapton, the Eagles, Billy Joel, and all the other timeless legends from the 60's and 70's when they were in their prime. Not Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, the Jonas Brothers, etc.
On Jan. 28, 1998, sufer Ken Bradshaw rode an 85-foot wave face at Outside Log Cabins reef in Waimea Bay off Oahu's North Shore, a world record. Bradshaw tells Forbes Adventurer Jim Clash about his ride on "Big Wednesday." The exploits were part of the PBS documentary "Condition Black" and the IMAX movie "Extreme." (Our photos show him on a 65-foot face; the 85-footer was 4 hours earlier and unfortunately wasn't captured on film.)
Fake viral marketing video made by Red Bull. Miguel del Toro = Michael of "the Bull." The interviews of Kelly Slater and Tom Carroll are both taken from the Ross Clarke-Jones movie, The Sixth Element, and they are comments about RCJ. The only people who talk about “Miguel Del Toro” are Jamie Sterling and Ross Clarke-Jones who are both wearing Red Bull caps.
same thing,....literally got goosebumps. One of the best movies ever.
This man represents what LOVE is all about .. we love you, grandpa!
this is a song writen by rich podolor he worte a lot of instro for the superstocks and lot of other surf and hot rod bands for the 60s and played guitar on the superstocks record like "shut down"and other great tunes for that era....
Any true pioneer leads a lonely existence and the further back one goes in recorded history, the more bizarre it gets. Dora was driven by PASSION. It appears things got wierd only when he spoke about them, then he hated the interviewer. I shared water-time with the master in the early '60's and being on balsa boards at the time, we were all blown-away by his grace and intuitive understanding of waves. You never "dropped-in" on Dora more than once, that much I can tell you. RiP Mik
!989/1990 was when I got my first good thruster and really was when I really learned to surf and was the most influental time for me. I was in Junior high and going into hghschool and this movie was all the rage, especially Martin Potter. This video clip is so special and beautiful to me with tht music that it really touches me. We as groms still knew about the old guys.
